Biography

With a background in theatre and dance, Majilyn is a mesmerizing and incredibly talented international Middle Eastern Dance artist. She is an accomplished performer, a gifted instructor and an innovative choreographer and director.  Her emotionally expressive performances, elegance, and impeccable technique captivates audiences of all ages.
 Majilyn's bellydance career and education began with the legendary Tamalyn Dallal, founder of the Mideastern Dance Exchange  in 2002. For three consecutive years, she was the lead dancer in Bozenka's Performing Company and later became its Artistic Director, creating exquisite and visually engaging choreographies. 

 During this time, she produced and directed two successful theatrical bellydance shows, Desert Silence in 2008 and Egypindia in 2010.  Three years later (2013), she found the Arabic-Cuban Project, a multi-faceted company dedicated to the preservation and awareness of Middle Eastern dance and culture in Cuba. 

In May of 2016, based on Adriana Echeverri's idea, she created, directed and co-produced the widely acclaimed Belly2Abs production, Habibti and the King.  That same year, she partnered with internationally acclaimed artist, Roshana Nofret, to bring the Middle Eastern Mosaic to South Florida.

Middle Eastern Mosaic is not only an annual dance conference but a company that organizes classes, workshops, shows, and informative talks throughout the year.  

Majilyn is a sought-after dance coach, training local dancers and helping them achieve recognition at various dance events.
She has also appeared on the set of NBC, Telemundo, Univision, in music videos and  starred in a promotional commercial for Shakira’s MongooseTour. She was also featured in the Latin magazine FAMA, in 2008. 

 Today, Majilyn continues to inspire and motivate her students through her performances and dynamic teaching style.
