Majilyn's bellydance career and education began with the legendary Tamalyn Dallal, founder of the Mideastern Dance Exchange  in 2002.  During this time, she produced and directed two successful theatrical bellydance shows, Desert Silence in 2008 and Egypindia in 2010.  Three years later (2013), she found the Arabic-Cuban Project, a multi-faceted company dedicated to the preservation and awareness of Middle Eastern dance and culture in Cuba.

In May of 2016, based on Adriana Echeverri's idea, she created, directed and co-produced the widely acclaimed Belly2Abs production, Habibti and the King.  That same year, she partnered with internationally acclaimed artist, Roshana Nofret, to bring the Middle Eastern Mosaic to South Florida.

Middle Eastern Mosaic is not only an annual dance conference but a company that organizes classes, workshops, shows, and informative talks throughout the year.
